How we support your student
Students in the Roar 2 Success program receive invaluable support! In order to maximize the work participation is key.
What is a student support network and who does it include?
- Success Navigators
- Instructors
- Peer Mentors
- Financial Aid Advisor
- Career Counselor
- Parents and Families
The most Important part of the network is YOU! And we are here to support our families too!
During a student’s college transition they are navigating a new environment, meeting new people, and adjusting to new expectations. This transition can be overwhelming, so staying connected with your student, whether through phone calls, text messages, or other means of communication, is especially important during the first 2 years, but remains important well beyond this timeframe.
If a parent or family member would like to speak with a staff or faculty member, such as a Success Navigator, Financial Aid Advisor, Dean of Student, or professor, regarding their student’s progress, well-being, or financial aid information, a completed Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) form is required. This allows us to share information and provide the best support possible. The FERPA form can be found in a student's banner account.
