Success Tips for First Year Students: Summer
- Complete your applicant portal check list
- Register/Attend Summer Orientation
- Complete your FASFA/TAP applications
- Register/Attend the Bengal Bound Summer Bridge Program (complete the permission slip if you need to ride the NYC bus)
- Schedule and complete your financial aid 1:1
- Schedule and complete your summer 1:1 virtual check in (hyper link success navigator meeting document)
Success Tips for First Year Students: Fall
- Meet with your Assigned Success Navigator monthly (bi-weekly if you are having trouble)
- Successfully complete UNC 100
- Access academic supports, attend study halls/ educational programming
Success Tips for First Year Students: J-Term
- Schedule and complete your summer 1:1 virtual check in (hyper link success navigator meeting document)
Success Tips for First Year Students: Spring
- Meet with your Assigned Success Navigator monthly (bi-weekly if you are having trouble)
- Successfully complete one of the suggested UNC courses (UNC 150, UNC 201, UNC 215)
- Access academic supports, attend study halls/ educational programming

Success Tips for Continuing Students:
- Schedule a meeting with our continuing student Graduate Associate
- Repeat any courses you previously did not do well in/ follow your major roadmap (be sure to consult with an advisor for all registration periods)
- Visit is in the Bengal Success Center: Access academic supports, attend study halls/ educational programming
- Join a student club or organization
- Engage with student programming
- Apply for an employment opportunity with us!
